Not qualified to do this type of procedure

Hi, Contacted him and had a visit regards a new set of dentures. Asked for his GDC number which was duly supplied. However upon checking with the General Dental Council database I found out he is only qualified as a Dental Technician not a Clinical Dental Technician which he is supposed to be. This means he is not qualified to diagnose or treat patients and as such is not covered by any indemnity insurance and if something goes wrong there is no recourse back to him. He should certainly not be doing home visits and putting patients at risk. Not impressed with the fact he omitted to tell me this when I contacted him. I duly declined to proceed with any treatment. You need to be aware of this if you intend to use his services. Thx
