We visited this place as a family recently. I'd never been there before and was very pleasantly surprised. It was a busy lunchtime weekend and we were told that there was a 25 minute wait for food. However, the food arrived much more quickly. The staff were really polite and helpful. There was a good selection of healthy, locally produced food on offer. Children could have a smaller portion of a number of the adult choices which made a change from the usual 'something with chips' available in most places. My son ate every bit of his shepherds pie with beautiful fresh veg. Our food was well prepared and really delicious. Afterwards, I really enjoyed looking around the beautifully presented farm shop.

  • 10 Not really a 'farm shop'

Darts farm is brilliant - local fresh fruit and veg, cheeses, meats, booze, toys, arts and crafts, choccies and biccies - it has it all with a real luxury feel. Good ethics behind this farm company, but watch out because you could easily end up spending a small fortune once all the little extras have found their way into your basket. The place also has a fish counter, and the gifts section is perfect for picking up a pressie for someone when you dont quite no what to buy for them. The cafe is always busy although a little overlooked by the shop, but serves tasty fresh food fairly quickly, although like the produce prices are at a premium.

  • 8 Restaurant and shop

This is a fantastic place to shop and then to stop and have something to eat. Food available all day. The food is freshly prepared and best ingredients. Lots of local people go and have cake and coffee meetings. Lovely open airy spacious restaurant area, even a smaller area with sofas to sit comfortably whilst have a chat. It is quite pricey but the quality is extremely good. Suitable for anyone and very child friendly. It is situated on the outskirts of Topsham and surrounded by fields. There is masses of parking as well. The place can get very busy at peak meal times, but there is a great buzz atmosphere.I went with two grandchildren and there plenty of choices for them and good seats for little ones. Definitely recommend a visit!
