“"How Sad" 😪 Just Returned (27/06/16)” 5 of 5 starsReviewed 2 days ago NEW I am home now after a week staying at this EXTREMELY well run establishment! I am in my 60s, I went with my Mother 87 and not good on her feet! To make things more interesting, I also took my 2 year old Collie! We all had a good time! Mother had a ground floor room with an ensuite wet room with facilities that helped overcome her problems. I had a very comfortable bed with my dog in the room. Brilliant en suite. A stable door which made life interesting for her when I was putting my feet up or getting ready for meals. MEALS........ An excellent breakfast with many options and GOOD portions! Dinner, if you order in advance! A choice of three ....for three courses. Delicious, traditional, made with skill and a 'fine' hand delivered with at least four perfectly cooked vegetables. The desserts were rich and sweet Irresistible! Very Generous Portions! The setting is relaxing and attractive, the parking is perfectly organised. The buildings are' Listed '. Thick walls, so limited wifi in the building BUT a one minute walk to the end of the drive and a signal is better. This is at a very convenient pub for meals as an option. The HOSTS......PETER and KIM I booked several months ago and explained our requirements. On arrival Kim and Peter were there to help us get organised and settle us in our rooms. They were attentive and extremely helpful hosts at all times. They have useful local knowledge sending us to interesting places. They are a great DUO... Laughing, joking, teasing and including guests in the atmosphere. Planning my return ........ Thank You Both Stayed June 2016
The Barn and Pinn Cottage
OUR EASTER BREAK MADE GOOD - a wonderful well appointed cottage in beautiful grounds and gardens. The room and accomodation was perfect and the proprietors were so welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts were to die for and the evening meal menus inviting and the food not for the calorie shy. Although the weather was not good, our stay at The Barn and Pinn made our short Devon holiday worthwhile. We will return again without doubt and would highly recommend this accomodation to everyone. Thanks Kim and Peter. Hilary and Peter Enstone
A fantastic find in the beautiful Devon countryside
We stayed at the Barn and Pinn Cottage for 1 night over 13/14 April 16. We chose this B&B based on the fact that they were dog friendly and in the right area for us. What we found was an immaculate property run by extremely friendly owners who couldn't do enough for us and our dogs. The room was extremely clean with a super wet room and direct access outdoors which was very convenient for the dogs. We were given advice on where to walk.Thereis a wonderful nature reserve just up the lane with miles of off lead walks available. Our dogs had a great time! Breakfast was very comprehensive with generous portions and very well cooked and presented. The dogs were even given a sausage each ! The accommodation was quiet and there was no noise from other guests. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this B&B for anyone thinking about a break in this area and especially if they want to take their dogs.
Immaculate dog friendly accommodation
When I started looking for a place to stay on our wedding night, I was hoping to find a place with a thatched roof and a room with a four-poster bed that was close to our venue the Donkey Sanctuary. The Barn and Pinn was everything I was hoping for and more. Room 9 with its own private garden was ideal, the breakfasts were once again very tasty, and the evening meal in the lovely dining room was delicious. Thank you Kim and Peter for providing the perfect beginning and ending to the perfect day
